Sandstorm of the Year

And, the Sandstorm of the Year award goes to March 25th's apocalyptic-looking storm, hitting the city around 5:40pm and dying out somewhere around 9pm. We happened to be driving to our friends' house for dinner, so we got to drive in it! Quite the adventure, it's a little like driving in a white-out...only dirtier.

It was a little crazy. We didn't have any idea it was coming until we literally saw the wall of sand moving about 1/2mile away. We did run to the door, but didn't really have to brush off much. It's more just like really thick air, but we did breath through our sleeves so we didn't get much dust in our nose/throat/lungs. No sand in the bed, al humdililah. (Thank God.)
